Ok here it is the OFFICIAL Facebook home-screen widget+app for s60 5th devices. After re-installing my firmware it vanished.
This zip file contains the widget and the app but i recomend just installing the sis this seems to sort out both the app and the home screen widget. tested as working on n97mini.

Ok so some may say whats the point in being able to edit html on you phone and you would be right to question the need. Anyone that has ever been in the process of developing a website will know, when an idea strikes or one realises how so solve a problem its always when furthest from their pc. Enter Htmled

With phones becoming more and more powerfull the lines between smartphone and Umpc are sure to blur. This application is another of the line that assists in making there boundaries crumble. After all you select a phone to be as mobile as possible and to suit the needs of your lifestyle and business.

Another massive benefit of being able to edit on the go is being able to fix errors as they are discovered. Owning and maintaining private websites can be strenuous. So htmled really suits those “fix the stylesheet on a bus” moments.

Htmled is available free from the developers web site at http://code.google.com/p/s60htmled/

Some clever git has worked out how to extract the talking dictionary from the e71. Now this is a seriously cool app which was not around at the birth of phones like the n95 or similar. Now its available to download. Its simple just install the sis which by default is english then go direct to nokia to get any foreign language dictionary. These additional language packs are avialable legitimately through the nokia web site, or through an option on the main menu.

Get the e71 talking dictionary Here. Screen shots below.

For ease i have uploaded the french sis but the rest are available from within the app, (see screen below).

Here is a very quick tip before i go to work. If when you turn on your phone and it begins trying to install stuff. Simply navigate with caps off to E:/private/10202dce and delete the contents of the folder. If you are interested in what apps they are simply begin the installation by clicking on them. Then cancel it once you know.

To avoid this happening again it is suggested that you never uninstall things from the menu (by pressing ‘c’), instead always use the app manager.
Enjoy :-)

Scobbling using mobbler [link]

September 15, 2009

I just thought i would take a second to inntroduce some of you to mobbler.

Screen000001.jpg

Mobbler is a last fm client for s60v3, (it might also work on v5 too). Basically it allows you to listen to your fav tracks, has all the functionality of any decent search: genre, track, artist etc. There are thousands of tracks and you are almost garenteed to find your favs including some new stuff you might be interested in.

I use it in the background and it works really smooth on my n95 8gb. try it out for yourself at the mobbler google code page.

The really cool thing about this app is not the conversion tool (which is really handy for converting to a format that google maps likes). The program innteracts with the built in landmark feature of Nokia handsets. This means you will be able to quickly access your new waypoint in any other app that supports landmark intergration, such as Route66 Nokia ovi maps and Googlemaps.

This app also supports BT gps sensors so it’s not a big deal if you dont have Agps intergrated into your dev.

This is a java app so it’s recomended that you go to your app manager and change the perms so it doesnt keep asking you stuff :)
any questions dont hesitate to ask i use this app all the time just follow me on twitter.

Install and enjoy get it HERE!
